Materials:

- One colorful plate
- Four-inch cookie cutters: two 'M' and one 'O'
- One brick of floral foam (pink if possible)
- Five to eight stems (45 to 40 blooms required) of purple asters also called September Flower
- Floral preservative, clippers and knife

| Directions:

|
Step 1 - Soak the floral foam in water that has been treated with floral preservative for at least 30 minutes.
|
|
|
Step 2 - Cut the floral foam into slices of the same depth as the cookie cutters. Press the cookie cutters into the floral foam and cut off the excess.

|
|
Step 3 - Snip the aster blooms leaving approximately a 1 inch stem.
|
|
|
Step 4 - Insert the flowers to cover the floral foam and when finished, set the flowered cookie cutters on the breakfast plate to read 'MOM.'
